Week 1-Social Media

The proposed "Bullet" train company would need to make good usage of Social Networking opportunities. This would namely include the use of Facebook and Twitter. These sites are becoming a more and more important part of society today, so any new enterprise will need to make use of them.

There are two main players in the Social media advertising game. One of them is Facebook. The new bullet train system will need a Facebook "page" so that people can "like" the company. Unlike an advertisment on television, Facebook "likes" give a more personal aspect to the advertisement. Someone is more likely to like a company if they see that their friends use and like the product. The bullet train may also see complaints on the Facebook page. There will need to be an employee ready to respond to these posts as soon as possible to keep customer satisfation high.

We all know that Twitter is becoming more and more popular. People tweet millions of times a day. If a train is running late, there will be tweets about it. Complaints will be prevelant on Twitter as well. Twitter is a new source of customer service, where customers can complain and expect something in return rather fast. In order to follow the recent trend, the Bullet Train company must be prepared to use Twitter to respond to complaints and criticisms.
